15 years ago, the Bizkaia amusement park on the top of mount Artxanda was closed. Proof and symbol of the ‘acceleration of history’, the amusement park is a contemporary ruin, an allegory of a doped economy and the print of failed mass tourism.Luna Park is a poetic link between a series of produced works and social, political or economic issues, with an important time lag: the works transmit the park 15 years after its closure. Like a message launched to the future, in which each work takes its own path, Luna Park is an exhibition for the future. 

In his works, often linked to a given context, Melvin Moti tries to guide the spectator within an aesthetic universe flush with mysteries, mixing legends from recent times and lived reality. Melvin Moti’s work produced by consonni comprises a series of photographs, taken in very specific conditions. They are ghostly. Using a Polaroid camera, Melvin Moti, accompanied by a team of two people, took a large series of photos in Bilbao and its surroundings at night. For the film to be printed, several people equipped with torches moved around in the framed landscape and used the light to ‘paint’ the elements of reality that had to appear in the image.
