This twenty-first-century activists’ guide to upending mainstream ideas about race, class, and gender carves out a path to collective liberation through the Black radical tradition. The author Charlene A. Carruthers has spent over a decade developing leaders as an effective strategist, community organizer, and educator. She isa Black lesbian feminist and founding national director of the BYPIOO (Black Youth Project 100), a preeminent organization of young activist in the movement for Black liberation. She will talk with the translator of her latest book, the translator, editor, agitator and cultural critic Arrate Hidalgo.
