consonni in ArtsLibris @ARCOmadrid 2019
IFEMA, Madrid
This year we repeat in Feria ARCO under the wing of Feria Internacional de la Edición Contemporánea ArtsLibris.
From the 27th of January to the 3rd of February at IFEMA (Madrid), pavilion 9.
We’ll be presenting our latest publications on Thursday the 28th at 17pm in ArtsLibris. On the one hand, we count on the Cuban essayist, critic and curator Iván de la Nuez, author of Teoría de la retaguardia. This is an ironical manifesto that mentions both Teoría de la Vanguardia by Peter Bürger and the assumed failure of the double task that this book requires to the Art, which were breaking the representation and making disappear the border that separates it from life.
On the other, we also count with the collaboration of the artist Maider López, the head of the work “Marcapáginas” on Video Green book, by the writer Chris Kraus. From a reference of this essay, in which Kraus reflects on the object fetishism, the proposal of López is based on recollecting memories that we commonly use as bookmarks (marcapáginas in Spanish). Then, every book has an unrepeatable particularity, the experience of somebody. It would be a talk moderated by the commissioner and researcher Olga Fernández López.
For attending is necessary to buy a ticket.
